3 Day Clinic - SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA - Little Black Gliderport San Diego Learn how to share your passion of flying with others in this clinic to learn tandem techniques for flying, how to instructor via tandem, tandem rules and regulations for our industry and more. To become a Tandem Instructor Student T1 you need an Advanced rating, Turbulence sign-off, AND minimum 200 hours of logged air time OR 100 hours with 500 flights of at least 500 ft. vertical descent OR 100 hours with 500 flights of 2 minutes duration or longer. Day 1-2 T1 training DAY 3 T1 testing and additional flights training for T3 requirements (minimum of 25 required per USHPA) T3 flights do not have to be completed during training weekend and pilots are encouraged to spend as much time as they need to feel ready for the responsibly of a t3 tandem instructor rating. Check flights, testing and sign offs are scheduled individually with T3 students and are included with clinic. Already have your T1? These three (3) day clinics offer all the knowledge, skills, and mindset coaching that you will need to be a safe and successful tandem pilot. Pilot pre-requisites to earn your T1, T2, and T3 certifications are a P4, with 500 flights and 250 hours of airtime, turbulence (TUR) and restricted landing field (RLF) special skills sign-offs.
