Year round instruction is available.

Ground School is available online and will be completed at the location of students choice. Instructional flights and lessons in person will be hosted in San Diego County California: Little Black Gliderport and other local mountain sites in Southern California.

One Time Fee Training Program

Max Acro Paragliding’s Pilot Program is a one time fee training format.  Students who have received both their P1/P2 from Max Acro Paragliding are entitled to continued radio supervision and instructional support through the remainder of their paragliding training p3/p4 free of charge. These students further receive discounts on additional rating/testings reviews, SIV maneuvers clinics, trips and instructor/tandem instructor clinics.

Q: Do I need to have my own paragliding gear?
A: P1 and P2 students are offered a rent to own program on gear if they do not have their own. Max Acro is an authorized dealer of a variety of paragliding brands and offer a discount on the student package for gear purchased through the school.

Q: How long does the program take?
A: The P1 program requires 5 flights and introductory ground school lessons which takes 3-5 days to complete. The P2 program requires 35 flights, 8 hours of ground school and 7 flying days which takes 7-10 days to complete.

Q: What will I be able to do after this training?
A: P1 will have a basic understanding of paragliding but will be unable to fly unsupervised. You will receive a rating that allows you to pursue the next level of training, P2.
P2 will able to launch and land in a variety of mellow conditions and will qualify to fly unsupervised at many flying sites around the globe. You will receive a rating that allows you to participate in further training clinics including P3, SIV and XC.
