We’re so glad to have you join us for your SIV safety maneuvers course! This guide is meant to provide clinic specific information to help you get off to a great and productive start.

STUDENT PORTAL
Your first step is to log onto the Student Portal on MaxAcro.com. The password is SIV2023
The information you should reference is in the SIV Resources section.
SYLLABUS
The syllabus can be found in the student portal. Please review it multiple times prior to the clinic.
ONLINE GROUND SCHOOL
Your ground school training for surface tow can be found on glidertraining.org
Please set up a Glider Training account listing Max Marien as Instructor and Max Acro Paragliding as school.
Complete the SURFACE TOW course if you have never towed before-cost is $15.
Please complete the course prior to attending the SIV.
IN PERSON TRAINING
Our training will take place at Lake Berryessa in Napa California.
We will be meeting each morning of flight training at the dock of Pleasure Cove Marina, 6am.
Accommodations are best made either via cabin or camping at the marina instead of airbnbs or neighboring towns.
ORGANIZATION MEMBERSHIPS
BEFORE any training or flights can occur you MUST be a member of USHPA, our national organization for paragliding flight. Please join USHPA first and get a ushpa number. When signing up for ushpa it will have you send your instructor a QR code. Screenshot this code and text it to Max at the above number for activation.

STUDENT COMMUNICATIONS
We have a clinic specific telegram chat group for you to stay up to date on weather and last minute schedule updates as well as share videos and photos. Please join the group by first downloading the app Telegram and then send a text to Cheyanne to be added to the group.
WAIVER
MANDATORY WAIVER must be submitted prior to clinic attendance.
